Shun Miyazawa is the Product Manager at Yamaha Europe and the man behind ‘Yamaha Yard Built’ motorcycles. Shun wears the Pinion X Iron Heart Watch 01 – And last year we were delighted to produce a very limited run of these watches with a special ‘Yard Built’ engraved case back.

We’re working on our very own customized Yamaha XSR700 Pinion motorcycle and will be sharing images in the next couple of weeks.

Pinion recently visited Selvedge Run, part of Berlin Fashion Week to see friends, Iron Heart who had their range of excellent Japanese selvedge denim, Wesco boots and the rather fetching Iron Heart ‘Yard Built’ Yamaha XR1300 Motorcycle.

Pinion Bronze watch photos

Pinion recently met up with social media photographer Simon Cudd in Oxford, so he could view othenew Revival 1969 edition, but also a good chance to see the Pinion Axis and Pure bronze range of watches.

Simon bought along his own Pinion Axis (Green dial, Tan strap) which is fitted with the original buckle we launched the watch with – and his watch displays a lovely mat bronze patina which provides a beautiful contrast against the green dial of the watch.

Post-Apocalyptic Battle Scars

Here’s a special Pinion Axis Black that is fresh from the set of Feature Film, PATIENT ZERO that is currently in production.

Built specifically for the film’s costume department, this watch and nylon strap has been modified to fit in with the futuristic military uniforms used in the film appearing damaged and covered in (fake) blood.

Patient Zero is a post apocalyptic fantasy-horror which will star Mat Smith, Natalie Dormer, Stanley Tucci and Clive Standen.

Here’s some fresh pictures of the Pinion Axis Steel Dawn.

This watch was released along with the Bronze Dusk as an extension of the Axis automatic collection in 2013.

Normally seen on its vegetable tanned dark blue leather strap, the Steel Dawn is incredibly versatile – The vibrant blue dial compliments a wide range of Pinion straps – from tan through to dark brown, which is pictured here.

Clive Standen at SalonQP 2014

We were delighted to see our friend, English actor Clive Standen as a guest of Pinion last night at fine watch exhibition, SalonQP in London last night.

Having only just finished filming hit TV show, ‘Vikings Season 3‘ over in Ireland two weeks before, Clive (almost unrecognisable in short hair) who wears a Pinion Axis Black watch, enjoyed chatting with us and other guest whilst looking at our new collection of fine watches at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

Best known for playing the character of ‘Rollo’ in The History Channel’s Vikings, Clive is also known for roles in TV shows such as the BBC ONE’s Robin Hood, Doctor Who and Starz Camelot series.

The Natural evolution of bronze

Seen here, two Pinion Bronze watches. Natural patina has developed on the furthest watch which has been exposed to sea water during the time it has been worn. The bronze watch in front is new and yet to develop patina.

Wearing a bronze watch with patina will result in edges of the watch being polished where it comes into contact with clothing, creating inconsistent tones which make it unique to you.
