Pinion is delighted to announce a follow-up to the sold-out original Atom watch called the Atom ND.

This model retains all the characteristics as seen in the original model, but has no date display and a revised dial design. The new Atom will feature an anthracite grey dial, finished with vertical brushing and the original hour numerals have been replaced with radium coloured batons.

The Atom ND  will be available from August 2018 onwards and will be a strictly limited run of only 30 pieces.

The Pinion Atom is a little behind schedule, but with just the dial to finish, it shouldn’t be long now until the watches are assembled and shipped to the customers who have pre-ordered it.

The Atom is the first Pinion watch that features a robust Japanese mechanical movement ( Miyota 9015).

The stainless steel case of the Atom has a matt blasted finish, while the engraved case back has a circular brushed effect – just like the original Pinion Axis watch from 2013 and features the Pinion Atom motif along with an individual engraved serial number.

Pinion opts typically for a different winding crown on the watches, with polished effect to compliment the hands, however for the Atom its matched the matt appearance of the case to create a seamless appearance.

The Atom will come packaged in a beautiful handmade tan leather watch roll. The watch roll allows the customer to transport their Pinion Atom with ease and also accommodates another three watches, making it a practical travel companion.

Central to the watch, the dial references the graphic style that Pinion has designed in the previous watches, ensuring a design continuity across the entire Pinion range.

The Atom inherits all of the design and production qualities seen in the previous collection of watches and is assembled in England, but priced at £790 (£658.33 ex.VAT) signals it as the new entry-point to the Pinion family.

Pinion presents a new watch for 2017, titled ‘Atom’. The Atom inherits all of the design and production qualities seen in the previous collection of watches, but priced at £790 (£658.33 ex. VAT) signals it as the new entry-point to the Pinion family.

Like the Axis II and Pure before it, the Atom is sized at 42mm diameter, (but slimmer in height at 11mm) and is encased in 316L stainless steel with a bead-blasted finish. Central to the watch, is the dial, coloured black in a smooth satin finish, it features a dominant inner raised level, textured with a geometric machining. The design of the dial follows our graphic code established by previous models and presents typographic numerals in white, coated with SuperLuminova and contrasting radium colouring. For durability, the watch is water resistant to 100-metres depth. In a new move for Pinion, the Atom utilises the Japanese automatic winding calibre (Miyota 9015) which provides accurate timekeeping and a 42-hour power reserve. The reverse of the watch features a solid steel case back that is engraved with the Atom motif and individually numbered.

Like all the Pinion watches, the Atom is built and tested in England and comes with a hand-made leather strap, leather and canvas watch roll plus international two-year warranty.
