As a follow-up to the original 2017 Atom watch, Pinion presents the Atom 39, featuring a refreshed design and configuration for 2019.

This current iteration sees the Atom constructed in a new 39mm case, and rather than the Japanese Miyota movement from the original release, the Atom 39 features a Swiss automatic calibre (ETA 2824-2).

As with all Pinion watches, the Atom 39 will be manufactured in small batches of fiſty watches at a time, with the the finishing, assembly and testing conducted in England.

A smaller case

The Atom 39 has a smaller case size of 39mm, making it the smallest Pinion watch to date. However, with a modest height of 11mm, the Atom 39 still retains the utilitarian nature seen in the rest of the Pinion watch collection.

In keeping with the functional aspect of the Atom 39, the case has a matt blasted finish, providing an overall darker appearance to the stainless steel metal.

Swiss movement

When Pinion first launched the Atom in 2017, it featured a Japanese Miyota movement. The Atom 39 improves on this by being powered by the ubiquitous Swiss made ETA2824-2 providing accurate timekeeping and impressive track record for reliability.

Dial design

The Atom 39 dial has a wider opening for the proportion of the 39mm case, providing maximum legibility for timekeeping.

The Atom 39 continues the Pinion design language as seen on all previous models, but takes most of its reference from 2017s Atom, and Atom ND watches – featuring 12 numerals and the use of contrasting colours for visual effect.
